Roosevelt Historic Neighborhood
The Roosevelt District is the modern name for a series of neighborhoods that grew north of the city between 1893 and 1930. These are some of Phoenix’s earliest suburbs, and were choice residential areas of the elite. The style of these homes was fashioned in the styles popular in the West from the turn of the century to the Great Depression.
In the early twentieth century, the Roosevelt neighborhood was home to many of the politically and socially prominent citizens of Phoenix.
The Roosevelt District remains a prominent community in downtown Phoenix and home to many notable citizens. This Historic District takes great pride in retaining a beautiful and safe community.
