July 7th, 2010School Begins August 4th for 2010-11 Year
Phoenix, AZ (July 1, 2010) – There is still time to enroll your children at Phoenix Elementary School District for the 2010-11 school year. The first day of school for students at all fourteen District schools is August 4th for all preschool through grade eight students.
From Traditional to Montessori, we offer just the right Signature or Community School for your children. Yes, that’s right. We offer a Free Public Montessori School located in the heart of downtown Phoenix. In 1994, our District realized the value of and demand for the Montessori philosophy and set out to establish a Montessori school that was accessible to all children without the high tuition costs of $600 a month or more associated with private Montessori schools. Due to high demand and strong student enrollment, we expanded our Montessori classrooms to the Shaw Campus just a few blocks from Faith North Montessori School.
Due to the open enrollment policies in Arizona, we can invite students from all over the valley to attend our schools when space is available. In addition to Free Public Montessori, we offer a Traditional School, as well as Dual Language, Performing & Fine Arts, Math & Science & Technology and more. Our Signature & Community Schools include: Bethune, Capitol, Dunbar, Edison, Emerson, Faith North, Garfield, Heard, Herrera, Kenilworth, Lowell, Magnet Traditional, Shaw and Whittier.
Our schools offer:
- A Safe Learning Environment
- Highly Qualified Teachers
- State of the Art Facilities
- Free Pre-School
- Free Before & After School Care for Students of Working Parents
- Free Breakfast & Lunch
- Free Full Day Kindergarten
- • All Schools are Highly Performing, Performing Plus or Performing
