Phoenix AZ (July 9, 2010) OptumHealth, a sister segment of United Healthcare, and Walgreens are launching a back-to-school drive to support the students in the heart of Phoenix with school supplies. Participating Walgreens are listed below and are located in Chandler, Tempe and Southeast Phoenix. All of the school supplies donated will be delivered to kindergarten through eighth grade students across downtown Phoenix.

These students in fourteen elementary schools in Phoenix Elementary School District #1 need school supplies such as #2 pencils, spiral notebooks, dry erase markers, construction paper, copy paper and more. You can conveniently drop off these items when you are shopping in these participating Walgreens. If anyone wishes to purchase items at other Walgreens, donated school supplies are welcome at those stores, too. Just provide the items to the store manager and the manager will forward them to a participating store.

The kickoff starts on July 10 and runs through August 1, just in time for back-to-school!
