Dear Phoenix Elementary Families:

Student attendance in the online model is important to your child’s success in school, just like in-person classes.  Students are expected to participate in live or self-guided instruction for six hours each day in order to meet the state-mandated required instructional minutes.  If students are unable to connect each day with their teacher due to an appointment or being sick, a parent or guardian must call the school office and report the absence just as you would for in-person classes.

Beginning on Tuesday, November 3, all schools in the Phoenix Elementary District will begin notifying parents of student absences each day through our automated telephone notification system.  Should you receive a call informing you of an absence, please call your school’s front office to report the absence.

Thank you for partnering with us and ensuring students connect each day for school, and for verifying any unexcused absences with our school offices.
