Born in Tucson, Ms. Lynné Almy has dedicated her career to educating low income students in Arizona. She received the prestigious Flinn Scholarship to attend the University of Arizona where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor’s Degree in History, Economics and Spanish. She holds a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education from Arizona State University.
After graduating from the University of Arizona, Lynné joined the campaign of Congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords. As a field organizer, she managed over one thousand volunteers, represented the Congresswoman at events and contributed to Giffords’ re-election.
In 2011, Lynné moved to Phoenix to work in Maryvale as a fifth grade teacher and now as a math specialist. She serves as coordinator of the Title I after-school tutoring program, delivers professional development to teachers of all grades and was awarded the Excellence in Educational Technology Award in 2015.
