Dear Emerson Families,
Last year (aka “the Virtual Year”), we adjusted our practices to be the teachers and the school our kids needed us to be. We lived the words “be water,” as Bruce Lee articulated, and we learned to be ready for anything. In spite of the challenges we continue to face with the pandemic and what it means in terms of unfinished learning for our students, we remain focused on the vision we collectively established in Summer 2019 to be an ‘A’ school within five years – not for the sake of the goal, but for the sake of what it would mean for our students’ realities by achieving it. We can do this work. Let’s Grow Together.
With that, I welcome you back to the 2021-22 school year! I am excited to begin another round with all of you.
