20 Apr Face Masks Are Still Required
Dear Phoenix #1 Families:
Yesterday, Governor Ducey issued Executive Order 2021-10 that rescinded a prior executive order (2020-51) requiring all students and staff to wear face coverings while on school campuses; however, K-12 school districts and charter schools still maintain the right to institute and enforce policies to mitigate against COVID-19 spread, including the use of masks.
Although we have seen a positive trend in the community spread of COVID-19, we still have high and substantial spread in the majority of the zip codes we serve. In order to continue to ensure the health and well-being of our students and staff, Phoenix Elementary School District will continue implementing our current Board approved mitigation plan and our mask policy will remain in effect for all staff, students, and visitors.
Thank you for your continued support and for partnering with us to ensure we all do our part to keep those around us healthy and safe.
