Principal Letter

Welcome from Diane

If we expect our children to thrive at our colleges and universities, and succeed in our economy once they graduate - first we must make quality, affordable early childhood education accessible to all. - Kirsten Gillibrand

Dear Faith North Preschool Families;

It is my tremendous honor to serve as Principal for the Faith North Early Childhood Learning Center. As Principal, I will dedicate myself to building a strong educational foundation for all preschool students, while engaging families in meaningful ways that support student growth and achievement.

Faith North offers a developmentally appropriate curriculum that meets the individual needs of each student. The focus is on the development of the whole child in a cognitively rich and responsive environment. Every child in our program has the opportunity to participate in a variety of active learning experiences that foster cognitive, social, emotional and physical growth. Educational experiences for preschool students are based on the understanding that young children learn through socio-dramatic and constructive play. Our preschool classrooms create an environment that promotes independence, fosters decision-making and encourages involvement of children and families.

Parents are encouraged to participate in their child’s preschool experience in a variety of ways, both at home and at school.  Please visit our Resources tab where you will find links to websites, agencies and resources that support early childhood learning and ultimately, your child’s success in school.

Please contact me at any time for additional information regarding our programs and opportunities for getting involved.  I look forward to working in partnership with you to provide the outstanding early childhood education your child deserves.

Sincerely,

Diane Salazar
