Attending a Meeting

Governing Board Study Sessions are generally held the second Thursday of the month, and Regular Board Meetings are held the fourth Thursday of the month.  All meetings are now being held in-person at the Phoenix Elementary School District Office/Emerson Court, 1817 N. 7th Street, in the Governing Board Room, at 6:15 p.m.

Meetings will continue to be live-streamed, and will appear below, shortly before the meeting begins.

All meetings, with the exception of executive sessions, are open to the public and conducted in accordance with the State Open Meeting Law and Education Laws.

To Make a Public Comment

To Make a Public Comment, community members may request to speak on agenda items during Regular Board Meetings by completing a Request to Speak Card and giving it to the Governing Board secretary at the meeting. The Board president will call the names of those who ask to speak.

If you are unable to attend the Board meeting, you may send your communication to by 5:30 p.m. the day of the Board meeting.  Please state in the subject line – Community Communication. Include your name and address and your role as a staff member, parent or community member, along with your communication in the body of the email.  Public comments that are emailed will be read aloud and are limited to three minutes at the discretion of the Governing Board President.
