New CDC Guidance on Wearing Masks

New CDC Guidance on Wearing Masks

The CDC changed its mask guidance in response to the growing COVID-19 Delta variant and is urging everyone to wear face masks while indoors in public places, including schools.  Last week, the District shared our safety plans for the opening of school with all families, and our plan strongly encourages children, staff, and visitors to wear face masks at school.  Now, the CDC has issued guidance that supports our plan to wear face masks while indoors.

The Phoenix Elementary School District is committed to ensuring our children and staff are healthy and safe while on our campuses, and we will continue to use guidance from the CDC, and state and county health agencies to keep our campuses safe as we welcome children and staff back to school.

So join our efforts to stop the spread of COVID-19 by wearing masks at school.
